Recipes

I'm collecting different recipes I have found on other blogs/boards. I have credited the blog/board I got them from (whenever possible).  I haven't tried any of these yet, when I do I will post and let you know what I think.


The following shake receipes I got from The World According to Eggface

For all of them, place liquid in the blender first, then powder, then additions. Blend on low then high till well blended.

Chocolate Monkey
8 oz. water or 4 oz. soy milk/4 oz. water
1 scoop chocolate protein
1/2 a banana


Strawberry Banana Smoothie
8 oz. water or 4 oz. soy milk/4 oz. water
1 scoop vanilla protein
1/2 banana
3 whole frozen strawberries


Blueberry Bonanza Smoothie
8 oz. water or 4 oz. soy milk/4 oz. water
1 scoop of vanilla protein powder
1/2 cup frozen or fresh blueberries


Berry Berry Good Smoothie
8 oz. water or 4 oz. soy milk/4 oz. water
1 scoop of vanilla protein powder
1/2 cup frozen or fresh berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)


Peanut Butter Cup
8 oz. water or 4 oz. soy milk/4 oz. water
1 scoop chocolate protein powder
1 Tbs. peanut butter (smooth or chunky)
2-3 ice cubes

Blueberry Banana Protein Smoothie
8 oz. water or 4 oz. soy milk/4 oz. water
1 scoop vanilla protein
1/2 cup frozen blueberries
1/2 banana


Strawberry Smoothie
8 oz. water or 4 oz. soy milk/4 oz. water
1 scoop vanilla protein
3-4 Frozen Whole Strawberries

 

Muffin Tin Meatloaves 

 from: Happily after Lap Band
2 are less than 300 calories.

1lb of hot Italian sausage
1lb of ground turkey
1lb of lean ground beef
Grated zucchini
Chopped onion
Chopped mushrooms
1/2 jalepeno, chopped
2 cloves chopped garlic
1/2 cup Panko bread crumbs
1/2 cup sweet baby rays
1 egg
Salt, pepper, onion and garlic powder, chili powder, Ceyenne

Sautée the veggies and let cool mix with meat, bread crumbs and BBQ sauce and egg.

Use a cookie scoop to portion the Meatloaves into a muffin tin

Bake at 350 for 30 mins, top with a little more BBQ sauce and return to oven for 10 more mins. Let sit for 10 mins and drain on a paper towel before serving



Mini Lasagna from Happily After Lap Band


- Won Ton wrappers
- Red Sauce
- 1 or 2 Meatballs, sliced -OR- any cooked ground meat/soy product
- Sliced Mozzarella
- Ricotta (Kraft Simply is the closest thing I've found to fresh - use fresh if you have access to it. Or you can use my sister's recipe found here)


Spray a muffin tin with cooking spray and stack in the following order:
1 wonton wrapper
Tiny dollop of ricotta
2 meatball slices
teaspoon of sauce
1/2 slice of mozzarella (cut the slices into quarters they fit perfectly)
Repeat

Bake at 375 for 20 minutes.
Each of mine were a little over 3 oz. 179 cals and 13 proteins.
