Went shopping in my closet last night, a concept completely foreign to my husband. I don't have near as many pants in different sizes as I thought I had. Shirts, shirts are another story...I have more than I will ever wear. I moved 1 pair of work pants, 2 pairs of casual pants, 2 casual shirts and 1 work shirt into the can be worn now section of the closet. I still have lots (and lots) of shirts in the can't wear yet section. I also made another pile of clothes to donate, either too big, or I don't like the style. For some reason I went through a striped phase (probably because that's all I could find that would fit at the time).
Then today I went shopping at at resale and thrift stores. I was terrible dissapointed at the resale shops, hardly any plus size clothes. Goodwill, on the other hand was great. Went to two stores, at the first I found 2 pairs of black pants, one size 20, one size 18. The second store I found 2 pairs of brown pants one 18 and one 20 and a grey pair size 20.
Now of course those pants don't fit yet, but that's the point. I'm going to need something in a few weeks (hopefully). The size 22s I tried on today fit well now and I almost bought them, but I'm hoping that they will be too big soon and I still have enough pants I can wear now. Can't wait until I can weat my new pants. Considering two months ago I was sqeeszing into 28s, fitting into 22s felt wonderful!
Speaking of 2 months ago, or to be more specific 8 weeks ago I took my first set of pictures. You know what that means? New picture time, never would have thought I'd enjoy having my picture taken. Well, I still don't as you can tell be my expression, but I love to see the difference. (Pre-surgery and 8 weeks post op.)
Last time I couldn't really see changes, this time I totally can. By the way, it's not the same clothes, same colors, but smaller sizes. Sorry for the poor quality, and lack of cropping.
I can totally see the changes, in your face too, that is where I have seen the most with my 21 pound loss (so far) and my "top" belly haha thats what I call the above the belly button belly hahaha. way to go!, love the thrift stores too we will be changing sizes over the next year why pay retail right...

Great changes! I started really noticing my own chages at around 40 pounds lost...that's when I had to start buying new clothes and having no clue what size I would be in. Gald you able to find some stuff at Goodwill. I haven't had much luck there for work clothes.
ReplyDeleteI can definitely see it in your face!! You are shrinking yay! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comments guys! I'm so bad at responding, but I do read all of them. It's cool to see the difference. I highly recommend taking pictures.
ReplyDeleteTheresa: Not in Boston now, I lived there for a few years. Met my husband there, he's from Waltham. He's the Red Socks fan through and through.
Next time photograph yourself in actual shorts, not coulottes.
